Negative Numbers in Real-Life Contexts
A temperature of -3°C is warmer than -8°C because -3 is higher on the number line. Both values are below 0°C, but their positions relative to zero are different. Negative numbers describe values below a chosen zero point in temperatures, money, positions and many other settings.
