Using Fractions to Solve Probability Problems
Probability is a number describing how likely an event is, with values from 0 to 1. An event is the condition or result being considered, while an outcome is one possible result. In an imagined model with 3 blue counters and 7 red counters, each counter is equally likely, so the probability of blue is 3/10. This fraction represents favourable outcomes out of all possible outcomes.
