The Windrush Generation and the Making of Modern Britain
“Windrush generation” is a broad modern term, usually referring to people who came to Britain from Caribbean Commonwealth countries, particularly between 1948 and 1973. Discussions of its legacy may also include their children and later descendants. The term does not mean that everyone travelled on one ship or shared one experience.
