Lesson 1: Coding Has Changed: Working With AI as a Developer

If an AI agent can inspect a repository, plan a feature, change files and run tests, what is the developer actually responsible for? The answer is not “nothing”: professional development is about deciding what a system should do and judging whether the result is suitable. AI can reduce the need to type every implementation detail, but it does not remove programming, engineering judgement or accountability. This lesson explores how the developer’s responsibility is changing rather than disappearing.
